About the Location
Banner Elk is a charming mountain town nestled in North Carolina’s High Country. Known for its stunning mountain views, cozy cabins, and outdoor activities – this area holds a very special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to share it with you!
The wedding itself is on Beech Mountain, which is a 10-minute drive up the mountain from Downtown Banner Elk. Beech is the highest town on the East Coast, sitting at an elevation of 5,506 ft.
About the Venue
Overlook barn sits at the top of Beech Mountain, with unobstructed views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A restored horse stable, this property will host the ceremony, cocktail party, and reception.

Pinnacle Inn
A great option that is right in the mix of everything; walkable to the wedding venue and other festivities. These are privately owned condos with a variety of options and pricing.
AirBnb / VRBO
This is a popular area for rental properties and there are a lot of great options. Below is a map of the general area in which to stay. Whether you want to rent a smaller condo or pull together a group and rent a larger house, there’s a lot to choose from!
NOTE: Keep in mind that while areas like Boone, Linville, and Blowing Rock aren’t too far away, many of the roads involve switchbacks and aren’t ideal for driving after dark.

There are a range of options for rental cabins/condos. There are no hotels in the immediate area that would be considered in the luxury category.

If you would like help deciding how to get to and from Charlotte, reach out! We know we are asking a lot of our guests and want to be as helpful as possible.

Most preferred lodging options are on Beech Mountain, a short drive to our venue. We will not be providing transport but we can help connect those who may need a ride.
